A recent graduate of the Bachelor of Arts (Photography) degree at Charles Sturt University in Albury, New South Wales, Sophie Koskela is fresh faced and bursting at the seams with innovative ideas and concepts.

Sophie works with film and digital, experimenting with polaroids and alternative processes to explore and push the boundaries of photography.

Inspiration for Sophie's photographic work extends from her interest in the magazine, fashion and design industries. Frankie, Oyster and YEN magazines are a source of endless inspiration and new avenues to explore with the photographic image.

Sophie also has a taste for travel photography. Family holidays to  Fiji, Bali and Papua New Guinea have widened her views to how other people live and living conditions, as well as the vast array of difference in the lands of other countries.

This year takes Sophie on a travelling adventure to Europe, the Meditterranean and the Carribbean, where she will work as a photographer on cruiseships. This adventure will no doubt become a monumental source of inspiration and allow Sophie to develop her photographic techniques and abilities.
